Small Space Garden

I love to garden, it relaxes me. Unfortunately, they tend to have a large garden will be a bit 'overwhelming to me. I live in an area that does not allow me to "dig in my garden," said I needed to find an answer to my gardening problems and found the perfect solution in a small garden space.

It took a bit 'of the imagination and challenges that design as a large garden, but with a little' research and some trial and error, I found what worked and what did not fall.

With the right soil, solutions with adequate drainage, planning and intelligent design, I discovered that to grow a surprising amount of food in a very limited space. Now I can grow my own organic vegetables and herbs, not beautiful flowers, indoors or out, speak no matter what time of year. My solution to small space garden, container plants.

I discovered that a bright sunny window is the best site for growing fresh food all year round. My interior space includes a small garden and some tomatoesPeppers, lettuce, radishes, green onions and some of my favorite herbs.

Plant seed packets in hand, keep my year-round cultivation in containers that are about 5 gallons. I combine different types of vegetables in two or three tanks during the winter months and my planting area, so I have fresh produce on hand again when I want. Then I can go "all out" and this is a much bigger plant in the spring and summer, when I usemore container in the open.

One thing to consider when a garden room is growing smaller, the amount of sunlight that your container garden receives. This rule states that the crops can be cultivated. Root crops (carrots and radishes) and leaf crops (lettuce and spinach) tolerates partial shade, but "fruity vegetables (tomatoes and peppers) have at least five hours of full sunlight per day. You can manipulate the available light from reflective materialsas aluminum foil or marble chips around the plants, just be careful not to "burn" the young plants and seedlings, so keep a watchful eye on all containers that contain reflective material. Knowing the amount of sunlight you need for every culture helps to determine what are the vegetables planted together in a container. The land the "right" is another important criterion. The best small container garden room floor should be porous enough to look good and high enough to maintain the flow of organic matterWater, as the roots need air and water.

I discovered that plants do not dry out fast indoors and slow-growing and much less need for fertilizers. I know a humidifier during the winter months, which also helps the plants from drying out. For those that do not circulate, humidifier, I suggest including a few stones small and medium enterprises in the bottom of the container to keep water from collecting on the roots, but still a little extra moisture for plants betweenIrrigation.

Growing a small garden space becomes easier with practice. It's better, the first year to start with a small selection of herbs, vegetables and flowers, then you can get used to this new way of gardening. Start with what is easier for you to grow, to see how it works and build from there.
